UK basic metal output index up 2.8 percent in April

According to a report released by the UK's Office for National Statistics (ONS), in April this year the UK's seasonally adjusted production index of manufacturing fell by 0.3 percent compared with April 2011, recording a year-on-year decrease for the fourth cumulative month and was down 0.7 percent compared to the previous month.

Meanwhile, in the UK the seasonally adjusted production index of basic metal and metal products rose by 2.8 percent in April this year compared with April 2011 and was down 1.1 percent compared to the previous month.
