Turkish HRC import volume up 20.4 percent in January

In January this year, Turkey's total hot rolled coil (HRC) imports increased by 20.4 percent year on year to 372,253 metric tons, up 23.1 percent compared to December, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). These imports had a value of $210.23 million, increasing by 19.4 percent month on month and up 49 percent year on year.

In the given period, Russia ranked first among Turkey's HRC import sources, with its HRC exports to Turkey amounting to 144,001 mt, down 23.8 percent year on year, followed by Ukraine which shipped 45,220 mt of HRC to Turkey in the given period.
