Turkey’s HRC import volume down 22.8 percent in January

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in January this year Turkey's hot rolled coil (HRC) imports decreased by 22.8 percent year on year to 319,290 metric tons, up 10.8 percent compared to December. The revenue from these imports amounted to $200.04 million, down 45.4 percent month on month and increasing by 7.7 percent compared to the same month of 2022.


In the given period, Russia ranked first among Turkey's HRC import sources, with its HRC exports to Turkey amounting to 90,395 mt, up 19.2 percent year on year, followed by China which shipped 55,546 mt of HRC to Turkey in the given period.
