The Brazilian producers are negotiating HRC exports with their South American clients in a reference price of $730/mt, stable over the last four weeks, FOB conditions for the basic commercial grades.
In the Brazilian domestic market, HRC of the basic commercial grades is sold by producers, in medium to large volumes, at BRL 4,300/mt ($795/mt), ex works, full taxes except IPI, also stable in BRL from four weeks ago.
The Brazilian producers maintain plans for price increases in the domestic market for January 2026, reportedly to return to the price levels of January 2025.
In November, Brazil exported 35,800 mt and imported 70,000 mt of HRC, against 49,600 mt and 7,900 mt in October.
The exports of November were destined to South America (35,500 mt at $655/mt) and Turkey (300 mt at $428/mt), FOB conditions, shipped by Usiminas (19,300 mt), ArcelorMittal (15,300 mt) and Gerdau (1,200 mt).
The imports were from South Korea (39,500 mt at $517/mt), Egypt (27,400 mt at $540/mt) and China (3,100 mt at $519/mt), also FOB conditions.
