Turkish HRC import volume up 16.4 percent in January-November

In November last year, Turkey's total hot rolled coil (HRC) imports increased by 65 percent year on year to 381,434 metric tons, down one percent compared to October, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). These imports had a value of $210.4 million, rising by 4.3 percent month on month and up 116.4 percent year on year.

In the January-November period of last year, Turkey's HRC imports amounted to 3.88 million mt, up 16.4 percent, while the value of these imports increased by 59.8 percent to $1.95 billion, both year on year.
 
In the given period, Russia ranked first among Turkey's HRC import sources, with its HRC exports to Turkey amounting to 1,921,925 mt, up 37.74 percent year on year, followed by France which shipped 429,225 mt of HRC to Turkey in the given period.
