Istanbul, Turkey-based seamless steel pipe trader Burak Boru Group has announced that its butt-weld fittings manufacturer subsidiary UNIFIT AS has been included in the Approved Manufacturing List (AML) of the Netherlands-based international industrial distributor Van Leeuwen Pipe and Tube Group following the successful completion of its external audit.

Commenting on the development, Okan Bozkurt, foreign trade manager of Burak Boru and UNIFIT AS, said, "To be listed in the AML of Van Leeuwen Pipe and Tube Group, one of the largest distributors of steel pipes and fittings, is a clear indication of our attention to product quality. This approval is a very important step for UNIFIT. Prestigious collaboration with the distributor is a good reference for us and creates new collaboration opportunities. UNIFIT, exporting mainly to western Europe, central/eastern Europe, the Middle East and the Turkic Republics, possesses CE/PED, ISO 9001-2008 and AD2000 Merkblatt certificates."

Recently, UNIFIT invested in machinery at its factory in Istanbul, Turkey. The renovation and modernization of the production processes at the plant are to be followed by the commencement of forged flange production.
