Turkey's steel pipe exports up 9.23 percent in Jan-Feb

In the first two months of the current year Turkey's steel pipe exports increased by 9.23 percent year on year to 303,991 metric tons, according to the statistics provided by the Turkish Steel Pipe Manufacturers Association (CEBID). The value of these export totaled $259.37 million, increasing by 1.89 percent year on year.
 
In the first two months this year, the largest export markets for Turkish steel pipes were Iraq, the UK and the US. In the given period, steel pipe exports to Iraq decreased by 3.79 percent to 62,994 mt, while exports to the UK increased by 93.25 percent to 48,720 mt, exports to the US rose 26.53 percent to 33,470 mt and exports to Romania increased by 96.11 percent to 27,030 mt, all year on year.
 
On the other hand, in February this year, Turkey's steel pipe exports decreased by 17.60 percent year on year and were down 27.19 percent month on month, amounting to 128,288 mt. The value of these exports was $108.43 million, down 22.05 percent year on year and down 28.32 percent month on month.
