Turkey's steel pipe exports up 4.43 percent in H1

In the first half of the current year, Turkey's steel pipe exports increased by 4.43 percent year on year to 961,070 metric tons, according to the statistics provided by the Turkish Steel Pipe Manufacturers Association (CEBID). The value of these exports totaled $815.19 million, decreasing by 0.11 percent year on year.
 
In the first half of this year, the largest export markets for Turkish steel pipes were Iraq, the UK and the US. In the given period, Turkish steel pipe exports to Iraq decreased by 7.61 percent to 190,909 mt, while exports to the UK increased by 71.68 percent to 141,108 mt and exports to the US increased by 5.43 percent to 140,100 mt, all year on year. Meanwhile, in the given period, Turkey's steel pipe exports to Israel increased by 121.07 percent year on year.
 
On the other hand, in June this year, Turkey's steel pipe exports decreased by 27.31 percent year on year and were down 34.91 percent month on month, amounting to 132,792 mt. The value of these exports was $113.83 million, down 28.85 percent year on year and decreasing by 31.92 percent month on month.
