According to the statistics released by the Istanbul Mineral and Metals Exporters' Association (IMMIB), in February this year Turkey's total steel pipe exports amounted to 126,998 metric tons, decreasing by 0.56 percent year on year and up 22.24 percent month on month. Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $114.38 million, down 15.99 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and up 23.25 percent over January.
In February, the average export price of Turkish steel pipes amounted to $900/mt, up $7.41/mt or 0.83 percent from January and indicating a decrease of $165/mt or 15.52 percent compared to February 2009.

On the other hand, in the first two months of 2010, Turkey's steel pipe exports fell 8.45 percent, reaching 229,750 metric tons, while the revenue of these exports totaled $204.78 million, down 20.64 percent, both compared to the corresponding period of 2009.
