Turkey-based specialty steel producer Hasçelik announced that it has made three new investments worth over €14 million at its Kocaeli and Konya plants in order to supply higher quality, economical and efficient specialty steel to the domestic market.

The company has built a hot finishing line and bar-in-coil drawing line at its Kocaeli plant. The new hot finishing line can automatically grind two steel bars at the same time, while the bar-in-coil drawing line will produce bars in coil with a diameter of 19-42 mm.

In addition, the new bar-in-coil drawing line built at the Konya plant will produce bars in coil with a diameter of 5-30 mm.

According to Hasçelik’s statement, the company will strengthen its market share in the country with its new bar-in-coil drawing lines.
