Turkey’s Göktaş Metal to commission new cold rolling mill in June

Göktaş Metal Yassı Hadde A.S., located in Gebze, Dilovası organized industry zone in the northwestern Turkish city of Kocaeli, has announced that it has made changes in its company strategy to enhance the product mix in line with market demand.
 
Accordingly, Göktaş Metal, which has produced longitudinally welded steel pipes, beams, steel service center products and cold rolled flat products since 1977, has decided to increase its investments in cold rolled flat products. The company will commission its third cold rolling mill in June this year.
 
With the new rolling mill, Göktaş Metal's cold rolling capacity will reach 300,000 mt. Cold rolled coils to be produced at the mill will range between 0.70 mm to 1.5 mm in thickness and 1,000 mm to 1,200 mm in width, while the coils to be produced on the narrow strip line will range between 400 mm to 500 mm in width.
 
Göktaş Metal currently operates pipe and beam lines with a total capacity of 130,000 mt, including two hot rolling lines with respective capacities of 35,000 mt and 45,000 mt and two 25,000 mt cold rolling lines.
