Turkey’s ferroalloy imports up 8.4 percent in Oct over Sept

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in October this year Turkey's ferroalloy imports rose 8.4 percent compared to the previous month, totaling 37,976 metric tons. The value of these imports amounted to $61.9 million, increasing by 13.9 percent as compared to September this year.
 
In October, Ukraine was Turkey's biggest source of ferroalloy with 15,182 metric tons, increasing by 254.7 percent month on month and accounting for approximately 40 percent of Turkey's total ferroalloy imports. Turkey's second biggest source of ferroalloy imports in October was Georgia with 4,386 metric tons, decreasing by 33.3 percent compared to September this year.

In the first 10 months of this year, Turkey's ferroalloy imports totaled 372,689 metric tons. Imports from Ukraine in January-October this year amounted to 119,557 metric tons, while imports from India in the first 10 months of the year came to 53,324 mt.
