Turkey’s Erdemir to build solar power plant in Van

Turkey’s Ministry of Environment and Urbanization has announced that the environmental impact assessment (EIA) process has begun for the solar power plant project in Van in eastern Turkey planned to be built by Turkish steel producer Ereğli Demir ve Çelik (Erdemir).

Within the scope of the project with an investment cost of TRY 337.63 million ($17.34 million), a total of 37,674 solar panels will be installed.

With the planned project, the power plant, which will be built with a power capacity of 17.6 MWe, is expected to annually produce 29.92 million kW of energy.
