Turkey’s CRC imports up 11 percent in January

In January this year, Turkey's cold rolled coil (CRC) imports totaled 57,428 metric tons, decreasing by 11.04 percent compared to the same month of 2014 and up 3.83 percent month on month, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). The value of these imports was $37.71 million, decreasing by 15.6 percent year on year and up 2.23 percent month on month.

In January this year, Russia ranked first among Turkey's CRC import sources, supplying 30,789 metric tons, up 183.95 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in the given period, Turkey's CRC imports from Ukraine totaled 7,468 metric tons, down 46.04 percent compared to January 2014.
