Turkey's coking coal imports up 58.5 percent in January

In January this year, Turkey's coking coal imports decreased by 4.1 percent month on month to 426,319 mt, up 58.5 percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the value of these imports decreased by 11.7 percent to $52.44 million compared to the previous month and increased by 10.9 percent year on year.

In the given month, Turkey's coking coal imports from the US amounted to 304,236 mt, while coking coal imports from Canada totaled 87,997 mt.
