Çemaş Döküm Sanayi A.Ş., one of Turkey-based Işıklar Holding’s group companies operating in Kırşehir, has announced that it has increased its annual metal casting capacity by 100 percent to 50,000 mt with its investments in new melting furnaces, molding lines, milling machines, powder paint and cataphoresis coating facilities. In addition, the company will meet 60 percent of its electricity needs from renewable sources with its 13 MW solar power plant investment, which is planned to be completed within a short time.

Together with the power plant investment, two 14 MW hydroelectric power plants, scrap recycling and in-plant waste recycling facilities, the company is heading towards the goal of zeroing its carbon footprint.

Commenting on the investments, Rıza Kutlu Işık, chairman of the board of directors of Işıklar Holding said, “Çemaş is growing with investments. These investments will further accelerate our export activities, especially in the European and American markets.”
