Turkey’s leading steel pipe producer Borusan Mannesmann has announced that it has acquired €805,000 worth of land in Ploieşti for a new pipe processing plant to be established in Romania.

The plant in question will mainly produce for automotive customers in Europe.

The new plant with a foreseen investment of $8 million will be the company’s second investment in Europe, as SteelOrbis previously reported. In 2001, Borusan Mannesmann acquired the Vobarno cold drawn pipe plant in Italy.
