The Russian pipe producer TMK Group (TMK) has announced the start of commercial production of special corrosion-resistant seamless line pipes for the transportation of gas extracted from wells operating in severe climatic conditions.

The new pipes in question were especially developed for the Astrakhan gas condensate field, which has a complicated geographical structure and contains high pressure formations saturated with corrosive and toxic agents.

The new pipes have passed all necessary tests, proving their suitability for the transportation of oil and gas with high concentrations of hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide.

TMK's new products fully meet Gazprom requirements and specifications and will also provide the latter company with an alternative to imported pipes.
