The Russian pipe producer TMK Group (TMK) has announced that its subsidiary Taganrog Metallurgical Works (Tagmet) has produced a trial batch of electric resistance welded (ERW) pipes for use in oil pipeline construction. The new pipes, with diameter of 219 mm and wall thickness of 6 mm, are characterized by higher thermal and corrosion resistance.

The trial batch of pipes was produced using new technology which allows TMK to improve the technical characteristics of its products.
