TMK considers to purchase Siderurgica Resita

Russian pipe maker TMK considers to purchase Romanian steel mill Siderurgica Resita in order to accumulate all its acquisitions in the Balkan country. Company officials expressed that they want to form a holding headquartered in Bucharest which will include Artrom and a new take over. Artrom, Romanian steel pipe producer, has been acquired two years ago by TMK. If TMK purchases Siderurgica Resita, Artrom will have a local raw material supplier. TMK expects to invest $30 million in Siderurgica Resita.
