The Russian pipemaker TMK has announced the completion of shipments of electro-welded 1,420 mm large diameter pipes of K60 steel grade with eternal anticorrosive coating for the expansion of the Urengoy gas field pipeline network.

During June-July 2008, over 13,000 mt of pipes, produced at TMK's subsidiary Volzhsky Pipe Plant, were shipped to the Yamalgazinvest subsidiary of Russian gas giant Gazprom.

Gazprom's expansion of the Urengoy gas pipeline network is designed to increase the network's gas flow as new fields in the Nadym-Pur-Tazovskiy region of Western Siberia are developed.
