Russia's largest oil and gas pipe producer TMK has announced that it has completed pipe shipments to the Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO) international consortium for the construction of the Karachaganak-Uralsk gas pipeline.

Accordingly, TMK has delivered a total of 8,170 mt of pipes to KPO, including 6,000 mt of seamless line pipes of 7.09 mm wall thickness, 250 mt of 219 mm electric resistance welded (ERW) line pipes of 6.35 mm wall thickness, and 1,920 mt of 1,016 mm longitudinal submerged arc welded steel pipes (LSAW) of 9.5 mm wall thickness. The pipes were manufactured at TMK's subsidiaries Volzhsky Pipe Plant and TMK-CPW to API 5L specification in X52 grade and supplied with three-layer polyethylene coating.

The 150 km-long Karachaganak-Uralsk pipeline supplies natural gas from the Karachaganak field, Kazakhstan's largest gas field, to Russia's Uralsk region.
