Luxembourg-based steel tube producer Tenaris has announced that it has acquired Houston-based Republic Tube LLC’s pipe processing plant.

According to the company’s statement, the plant in question has heat treatment and finishing lines that will enable Tenaris to enhance its existing operations in the south of the US and to increase its capacity to reach domestic customers.

In addition, the company recently recommissioned its Hickman North Campus in Arkansas, which will support Tenaris’ US operations.
