Suspension of pipe deliveries for South Stream pipeline lifted

Germany-based steelmaker Salzgitter Group has announced that EUROPIPE, its 50:50 joint venture with AG der Dillinger Huttenwerke, has received information from Amsterdam-based South Stream Transport B.V. that the suspension announced on December 17, 2014 concerning the contract for the delivery of steel tubes for the South Stream pipeline has been lifted with immediate effect. Negotiations on scheduling the process of delivering the volume still outstanding of more than 150,000 mt are to be held at short notice.
 
In December 2014, South Stream Transport B.V. instructed EUROPIPE to halt the production of steel tubes for the South Stream pipeline.
