Henan Province-based Chinese steel producer Wuyang Iron and Steel Co. (Wuyang Steel), a subsidiary of Chinese steel giant Hebei Iron and Steel Group, has announced that its steel plate exports totaled 180,000 mt in 2011, up 10,000 mt year on year, including exports of alloy structural steel plate, steel plate for low temperature pressure vessel production and wear-resistant steel plate to markets in Europe and the Americas.
In 2011, Wuyang Steel exported over 10,000 mt of steel plate for application in offshore platforms. Meanwhile, Wuyang Steel has also increased its steel product exports to emerging markets such as India.
