Shengli Oil & Gas Pipe’s SSAW capacity to reach 1.15 million mt by end of year

Zhang Bizhuang, president of Shandong Province, China-based Shengli Oil & Gas Pipe Holding, has stated that, while the company's current spiral submerged arc welding (SSAW) pipe capacity stands at 640,000 mt, it is expected to add an additional 360,000 mt of SSAW pipe capacity in the second half of this year.

In addition, Shengli Oil & Gas Pipe has invested RMB 99 million ($15.5 million) to acquire 55 percent of shares in Beijing-based energy company Huayou Energy, which has a SSAW pipe capacity of 150,000 mt. As a result, Shengli Oil & Gas Pipe's SSAW pipe capacity will reach 1.15 million mt at the end of the current year.
