Jiangsu Province-based Chinese steel company Shagang Iron and Steel Group (Shagang Steel) has announced that its high-grade E690 ultra-wide heavy plate has passed inspections carried out by three shipping bureaus including Norwegian-headquartered Det Norske Veritas, thus receiving certification for the product in question from the three bureaus.

Shagang Steel is one of the three steel companies in the world which are capable of producing E690 ultra-wide heavy plate using concast semi-finished products, the other two being Japanese steel producers JFE Steel Corporation and Mitsubishi Steel.
