Jiangsu Province-based Chinese steel producer
Shagang Steel Group has announced that has developed
production of top grade DNV E690 ultra-wide thick
plate, with this product receiving certifications from three shipping bureaus including Norway Shipping Bureau.
Shagang Steel is one of three steel producers in the world (Japanese companies JFE Group and Mitsubishi Group being the other two) who are able to produce the product in question from concasted semi-finished steel.
Shagang Steel has lately received an order from Jiangsu Province-based trading company Ruiming Steel Company for 83 mm × 3,050mm × 1,4200 mm DNV E690 ultra-wide thick
plate for application in ocean engineering projects.
