Severstal to invest RUB 1 billion in modernization of finishing shop at CherMK

Russian steelmaker Severstal has announced that it will modernize the finishing shop No. 2 of its subsidiary Cherepovets Steel Mill (CherMK) with an investment of more than RUB 1 billion ($17.39 million).

Severstal stated that, with the modernization project, Cherepovets will increase the supply of flat steel products to customers with increased requirements for surface quality by 650,000 mt per year.

The modernization project will be carried out by Russian plantmaker SK Chermetstroy
