S. Korea's Dongkuk expands ties with JFE

South Korean steelmaker Dongkuk Steel Mill Co. stated on Monday that it has forged an alliance with Japan's JFE Steel Corp. through cross-shareholdings and a technology transfer. Dongkuk said it is to buy shares worth Yen 10 billion (around $85.5 million) in JFE Holdings, while JFE Steel plans to raise its stake in Dongkuk from the current 4.09 percent to 15 percent.
