Russia's finished steel output in the January-November period of the current year amounted to 55.5 million mt, up 0.7 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, according to Russia's Federal State Statistics Service. In November this year, Russia’s finished steel output decreased by 6.8 percent year on year and by 7.3 percent month on month.
In the first 11 months, Russia’s pig iron output totaled 47.6 million mt, rising by 0.3 percent from the corresponding period of 2016.
Meanwhile, in the January-November period this year Russia’s seamless pipe output for the oil and gas industry declined by 2.7 percent year on year to 598,000 mt, while in November alone Russia’s seamless pipe output increased by 0.9 percent year on year and by 30.1 percent month on month.
