According to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat), in the January-July period of the current year Russia's ferrous metal exports increased by 15.4 percent year on year to 23.088 million mt, including 2.353 million mt of pig iron, up 5.8 percent year on year. The total value of Russia's ferrous metal exports in January-July this year was $13.718 billion, up 10 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, in the given period Russia registered a 11.7 percent increase year on year in its ferrous metal imports to 3.573 million mt, with a total value of $3.55 billion.
