Russia’s ferrous metal export volume up 14.5 percent in January-August

According to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat), in the January-August period of the current year Russia's ferrous metal exports increased by 14.5 percent year on year to 26.35 million mt. The total value of Russia's ferrous metal exports in January-August this year was $15.594 billion, up eight percent year on year.

Meanwhile, in the given period Russia registered a 11.6 percent increase year on year in its ferrous metal imports to 4.18 million mt, with a total value of $4.137 billion.
