Russian mining and steel producing company Evraz Group has announced that it has suspended the demerger process of Raspadskaya, its coal business, due to the sanctions against Russia and the Russian special economic measures in response to sanctions.

As a result, the business will not separate from Evraz and will continue to be a part of the company.

The demerger of Raspadskaya had been expected to be completed in late March this year, as SteelOrbis previously reported.
