Russia increases steel pipe output

Russian Ministry of Industry and Energy indicated that Russia’s steel pipe production in the first ten months of 2005 increased by 5.8 percent to 5.42 million tons, as compared to the corresponding period of previous year. The country produced 550’000 tons of steel pipes in October, while the production in September was 605’000 tons. For the whole year, steel pipe output is expected to increase by 2.8 percent to 6.2 million tons.
