Riva Group to invest in its German plants

Italian steel producer Riva is planning to invest some €100million in the reheating furnaces of its two plants in Germany which it took over about ten years ago from the east German privatization arm Treuhand. The Bradenburger Elektrostahlwerke plant produces mesh and cold drawn wire rods and has a total annual capacity of 1.6 million tons liquid steel. Hennigsdorfer Stahlwerke plant with 1.2million tons annual capacity is producing bars and rebars. Riva Group also has subsidiaries in Spain, France and Canada.
