Rebar costs in Buenos Aires area slightly up in January

Rebar costs in the greater Buenos Aires area slightly rose 0.3 percent, month-on-month, in January 2019, according to the nation’s statistics agency, Indec.

According to government data, rebar was among the products whose cost increased the least within the general expenses category in January, on a month-on-month basis.

Indec said the cost of civil construction in the greater Buenos Aires area in the first month of the year grew 1.1 percent, month-on-month. Cost of materials in January improved 1.2 percent, while workforce costs increased 1.1 percent, both on a month-on-month analysis.

Indec said general expenses in the greater Buenos Aires in January grew 0.3 percent, also on a month-on-month analysis.
