Moldavian Metallurgical Works (MMZ), a steelmaker based in the Transnistrian region of Moldova, has not yet resumed production because of problems with the supply of raw materials, company officials have stated.

MMZ stopped production in the summer of 2010. It had previously been reported that MMZ was planning to restart its arc-furnace equipment and rolling production on April 6-7. In January, MMZ had been expected to resume production in February of this year. However, due to problems with customs clearance for imported raw materials, the date for the restart of production at the mill has now been postponed indefinitely.
