MMZ’s rolled steel output down 40 percent in April from March

In April this year, Moldavian Metallurgical Works (MMZ), a steelmaker based in the Transnistrian region of Moldova, produced 15,583 mt of rolled products, down 40 percent from the previous month. In the given month, the company’s rolled product shipments totaled 18,217 mt, including 3,086 mt of reinforcing bars and 15,131 mt of wire rod.
 
The company expects to produce 27,000 mt of rolled steel products in May this year, to be delivered to Moldova, Ukraine and EU countries.
