MMZ’s crude steel output up 14.74 percent in September from August

In September this year, Moldavian Metallurgical Works (MMZ), a steelmaker based in the Transnistrian region of Moldova, produced 40,699 mt of crude steel, up 14.74 percent, and 25,708 mt of rolled products, falling by 14.84 percent, including 12,126 mt of reinforcing bars and 13,582 mt of wire rod, both compared to August.
 
The company’s rolled product shipments in September totaled 24,799 mt.
 
MMZ expects to produce 44,000 mt of crude steel and 37,000 mt of rolled steel products in October this year, to be delivered to Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Ukraine and Moldova.
