UK-based plantmaker Primetals Technologies has announced that it has received the final acceptance certificate from Indian steelmaker BMM Ispat for the new merchant bar mill supplied to the Hospet production site of the company by Primetals Technologies.
With the bar rolling mill, the company is expanding its production capacities for structural steels. The bar rolling mill with an annual production capacity of 850,000 mt is designed for the production of a wide range of end products including reinforcing steels, round bars, flat and square bars, angles and channel sections. Low and medium-carbon or low-alloy steel grades as well as spring and free cutting steel can also be processed.
