Preliminary results of AD review on certain flat rolled steel products

On November 7, 2005, Eutectic Corporation (Eutectic), a U.S importer, filed a request for a changed circumstances review of the antidumping duty orders on certain corrosion-resistant carbon steel flat products imported from Canada and Germany. The importer demanded that the US Department of Commerce (DOC) exclude a product commonly known as “wear plate” and marketed under the name of “CastoDur Diamond plate”. Petitioners and domestic interested parties affirmatively expressed a lack of interest in the continuation of the orders with respect to the “wear plate”. Accordingly, the DOC, on December 28, 2005, decided to initiate a changed circumstances review of the antidumping duty order on certain corrosion-resistant carbon steel flat products imported from Canada and Germany. The DOC preliminarily determined to revoke these orders with respect to “wear plate” upon receiving any comments on the issue.
