China's Sichuan Province-based steelmaker Panzhihua Iron & Steel Works (Pangang) has announced successful trial production of pipe steel used for 350 mm diameter N80-1 non-quenched and tempered seamless steel pipes and X65 line pipes at its 340 mm continuous rolling plant.

This is the first time 350 mm diameter pipe steel has been produced by rolling in China. As a result, Pangang now has the capacity to mass produce high-grade pipe steel of the largest diameter.
