OMK’s Gubakha Coke posts decreased output in Jan 2009

The Russian pipe producing company United Metallurgical Company (OMK) has announced the production results for the first month of 2009 of its Perm region-based subsidiary Gubakha Coke.

Accordingly, in Janury 2009 Gubakha Coke produced 18,000 mt of coke and processed 3,200 mt of coal tar pitch, recording decreases of 57.6 percent and 42.9 percent respectively compared with the same month last year, due to the low demand caused by the economic crisis.
