OMK’s foundry-rolling complex sees increased output in July

In July of the current year, the foundry-rolling complex of Russian pipe producing company United Metallurgical Company (OMK) produced 92,000 mt of hot rolled coil (HRC), up 14 percent compared to July 2010. Also in the given month, the foundry-rolling complex of OMK produced 13,000 mt of steel sheets and 15,500 mt of steel strips. In July this year, the foundry-rolling complex of OMK shipped 94,000 mt of steel products.

In the January-July period of the current year, the OMK complex produced 630,000 mt of hot rolled coils, up 15 percent compared to the same period last year, while it also produced 106,000 mt of steel sheets and 130,000 mt of steel strips. In the given period, the complex shipped 617,000 mt of hot rolled coil, sheet and strip, up 15 percent year on year.
