Russian pipe producing company United Metallurgical Company (OMK) has stated that in April of the current year its foundry-rolling complex produced 100,000 mt of hot rolled coil (HRC). Also in the given month, the foundry-rolling complex of OMK produced 16,000 mt of steel sheets and 11,000 mt of steel strips. In April this year, the foundry-rolling complex of OMK shipped a total of 88,000 mt of steel products.
In the January-April period of the current year, the OMK complex produced 391,000 mt of hot rolled coils, up eight percent compared to the same period last year, while it also produced 76,000 mt of steel sheets and 67,000 mt of steel strips. In the given period, the complex shipped 400,000 mt of hot rolled coil, sheet and strip, up 16 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, OMK subsidiary Trubodetal has also announced its production results for April and for the first four months of the current year.
Accordingly, in January-April Trubodetal's steel product output reached 7,827 mt, 9 mt more than in January-April 2011. In April alone, Trubodetal produced 1,902 mt of steel products. Trubodetal's products include connections for line pipes, pipe bends and harnesses.
