The Russian pipe producer TMK Group (TMK) has announced that it has concluded a strategic partnership agreement for the production and supply of premium threaded pipes with Russia's largest independent gas producer Novatek.

"We are pleased that TMK is the only Russian producer of premium threaded tubulars to be chosen over international pipe producers as preferred supplier. TMK provides a range of tubulars and services that are comparable to what other major producers can offer," stated TMK Premium Service director Sergey Chetverikov.

As previously reported, in September this year TMK received a premium threaded tubular supply order from Novatek, under the terms of which TMK is to deliver in October and November over 740 mt of 127 mm OD TMK CS casing with 7.52 mm wall thickness and of 168.28 mm OD TMK FMC casing with wall thickness of 8.94 mm. These premium-class tubulars are to be used at Novatek's Yurkharovskoye gas condensate field, located within the Arctic Circle, in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District.
