Portland, Oregon-based Northwest Pipe Company has announced that it will supply approximately 5,000 feet of 24-120 inch diameter steel pipe, valued at about $7 million, to J.F. Shea Construction of Walnut, California for a water treatment plant in Orange County, California. The pipe will be manufactured at Northwest's Adelanto, California division, with delivery scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2007. The pipe will go into an engineered and custom fabricated piping system to be installed in The Orange County Sanitation District's Treatment Plant No. 2. Northwest Pipe manufactures welded pipe in three business segments: its Water Transmission Group supplies large diameter, high-pressure pipes to the North American water infrastructure; the company's Tubular Products Group manufactures smaller diameter pipe for a wide range of construction, agricultural, energy, industrial and mechanical applications; and, finally, its Fabricated Products Group manufactures propane tanks and other fabricated products.
