NMDC’s iron ore output up 20.3 percent in April

India's state-owned miner National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) has announced that in April this year it produced 2.90 million mt of iron ore, registering an increase of 20.3 percent year on year. The company's iron ore sales in the given period amounted to 2.7 million mt, rising by 21.6 percent year on year.

In the given month, NMDC's iron ore output from its Karnataka mines amounted to 690,000 mt, down 17.8 percent, while the iron ore output from its Chhattisgarh mines increased by 40.8 percent to 2.21 million mt, both year on year.
