Russian steelmaker NLMK has stated that it has successfully passed another audit conducted by TÜV SÜD, the German certifying agency, for compliance with the requirements of international standard ISO/TS 16949:2009 which, in conjunction with ISO 9001:2008, defines the quality management system requirements for production of automotive-related products.
In the course of the audit, TÜV SÜD verified the company's operating processes and working documentation confirming quality control at all production stages. The auditors gave a positive evaluation of the company's quality management system (QMS), and confirmed the compliance of its QMS processes with international requirements applied to the production of flat steel for the automotive industry.
